About Us

Sandstone Heights has 2 cats and a dog who live in the health care unit. Their job is to provide enjoyment and entertainment in return for unconditional love.

Sandstone Heights was built in 1972. Community members representing the three churches in Little River, The Congregational, United Methodist, and Holy Trinity Catholic, got together, formed a Hospital District and built the nursing home. Sandstone Heights is owned by the hospital district patrons and managed by an elected Board of Directors. Many people in the community provide volunteer services to assist those who live on our campus. Sandstone Heights 35th anniversary will be celebrated on October 21st with a pie and ice cream social.

Various activities are provided to meet the individual interests of those who live at Sandstone Heights. Trips are planned in addition to in house programs.
